Terms & Conditions

1. Scope of Work

Proeltel Electric LLC (the “Company”) shall perform the electrical services as described in the provided Estimate. Any additional work or “change orders” requested by the Customer or not included in estimate after the start of the project will be billed at our standard hourly rate plus materials, unless otherwise agreed upon in writing.

2. Payment Terms

Residential: Payment is due in full upon completion of the work unless a progress payment schedule is specified.

Late Fees: Past due balances will accrue 12% penalty and interest at a rate of 1.5% per month (18% per annum) or the maximum rate allowed by law.

Collection Costs: Customer agrees to pay all costs of collection, including reasonable attorney fees, should legal action be necessary.

3. Warranties

Labor: The Company warrants labor for a period of one (1) year from the date of completion. This warranty only covers defects in workmanship.

Materials: Materials and fixtures are covered solely by the manufacturer’s warranty. The Company does not warrant customer-supplied materials.

Exclusions: This warranty is void if the electrical system has been tampered with, repaired by others, or subjected to misuse or “acts of God”.

4. Permits and Access

The Company will obtain all necessary electrical permits and responsible for it’s permit & inspections of the work. The Customer is responsible for providing clear and safe access to the work area, including electrical panels and crawlspaces. The Company is not responsible for moving furniture or personal belongings.

5. Concealed Conditions

If the Company encounters concealed or unknown conditions (e.g., hidden rot, outdated wiring not meeting current code, or structural obstructions) that were not visible during the initial assessment, the Customer will be notified immediately of any necessary price adjustments which result in a change order.

6. Drywall and Painting

Unless specifically listed in the Scope of Work, the Company is not responsible for patching, sanding, or painting drywall, lath, or plaster that must be cut to install or move electrical components.

7. Washington State “Notice to Customer” (Lien Law) As required by RCW 18.27.114:

NOTICE TO CUSTOMER: This contractor is registered with the state of Washington, license #, and has posted with the state a bond or deposit of $12,000 for the purpose of satisfying claims against the contractor for negligent or improper work or breach of contract in the conduct of the contractor’s business. THIS BOND OR DEPOSIT MIGHT NOT BE SUFFICIENT TO COVER A CLAIM THAT MIGHT ARISE FROM THE WORK DONE UNDER YOUR CONTRACT.

8. Right to Stop Work

The Company reserves the right to stop work if payments are not made as agreed.

9. Limitation of Liability

The Company’s liability for any claim shall not exceed the total price paid for the services rendered. The Company is not liable for consequential or incidental damages.
